This build is specifically for doing good things while on the back of an Elk. All three classes help while mounted on a mount that has arrow attacks.
Archery (passives and buffs increase archery attacks)
Defense helps PDEF and block rates, making you take less damage.
Songcraft skills (the speed buff on a mount is amazing, plus all the songs work while on a mount, in 3.0 zeal can even prok +150 range damage after critical heal or magic (so need a different build))
